MEsearch > Research
The most powerful learning happens when you turn the lens on yourself.
I heard the word "MEsearch" for the first time a few weeks ago, and it made me wonder — have I been living under a rock?
I was coaching a leader on communication and executive presence as she prepared for two upcoming presentations, and we landed on why these presentations mattered so much to her. She said, "This started as MEsearch I needed, and I know I'm not alone in needing it, so I take it seriously that I get to share it."
As a language nerd, I loved the word instantly. As a leadership development partner, I genuinely couldn't believe I hadn't heard it before. Fair warning: I'm into it now, and you're going to hear about it.
Research vs. MEsearch
Most leaders consume a lot of content about leadership — books, frameworks, best practices from other organizations, and other people's playbooks. Research tells you what worked for someone else, somewhere else. It can leave you with good ideas and interesting anecdotes — but not always with ready action.
MEsearch flips the lens. It reveals what's actually happening in you — your patterns under pressure, your defaults when things get hard, the gaps between your intentions and your impact.
Stuck? Disengaged? Busy but not productive?
You probably don't need that 17th leadership book.
Most leaders don't need another framework or a new lens. The problem isn't knowledge or awareness — it's that the daily grind of leadership leaves almost no time or space to actually investigate it. You're too busy leading to study how you're leading.
This is where MEsearch begins. Not with a book, a course, or a framework — but with a dedicated conversation about what you're navigating, where you're getting stuck, and what meaningful growth would actually look like for you right now.
Want in? Here's how I get started with clients.
We schedule a Development Review. You'll leave with at least one clear insight and action to support your leadership — regardless of what comes next.
We partner, grounded in strategies tailored to you. This is where MEsearch gets its structure. Your leadership context is specific — your team, your organization, your stakes — so the development path needs to be too. Together, we identify the highest-leverage approach: individual coaching, a group program, team development, or some combination.
You create shifts and results for yourself. This is where the MEsearch becomes real. Accelerated performance, deeper clarity, stronger teams — not because you read about it, but because you lived it, examined it, and kept refining it with a partner alongside you.
MEsearch isn't about having all the answers at the start. It's about having the right conditions to finally investigate the questions that matter.
That's exactly what a Development Review is for — and I'd love to dive into it with you. Let's find time to connect.
To the MEsearch worth doing,
Claire
